More important for the day-trader than others is to have the proper 'team' in place. It can be difficult is it to make money daytrading without a proper trading system. You won't succeed at day trading unless you have a high measure of confidence in yourself.

Day traders are sometimes portrayed as "bandits" or "gamblers" which is thought to discourage others from joining in on the activity.
A day trader is someone who will buy a stock that has high volume and liquidity and will sell that same stock within a few minutes up to a few hours. Not all stocks are suitable for day trading.

Day traders aim to make small profits on a large number of 'intra-day' transactions. Day Trading can be very risky, so you should only trade money which you can afford to lose totally. Practice your day trading using a simulated trading system before using real money.

Many day traders only hold positions for a few minutes. What is it about day-trading that attracts so many speculators to the markets? Day trading, the business of trying to make money by buying and selling stocks for oneself throught the day, is an extremely risky business. One cannot expect to make money day trading.
